Greens Senate preselection

The Victorian Greens are in the process of selecting our next candidate for the leading position on the Senate (federal Upper House) ticket in the next federal election which should be held sometime in 2013.

In accordance with Greens preselection practices, the candidate will be selected in a secret ballot vote by the entire Victorian membership.

I’m proud to be part of a wide and strong field of candidates in this preselection, and I know that this process will select the candidate whose messages, personal qualities and skills are most valued and needed by the party membership at this time – the best way of getting the candidate we need to lead our Senate campaign and hopefully, this person will join Richard Di Natale in parliament as the next Greens Senator for Victoria.

If you’d like to read what my supporters think about me, you can find endorsement statements from people, both within and outside the Greens, who’ve worked with me over the years, as well as the statements of my four formal nominators

If you’d like to find out more about me or about why I’m running.

If you’d like to talk with me about any aspect of Greens policy or about my nomination, please feel free to give me a call on 0431 933 546 or email me at [email protected] (please note, NOT [email protected]).

  1. I am dissapointed that you are not standing for Batman again. Do you know who will be standing for the Greens in Batman?

    • Hi Howard, it’s me!! sorry I couldn’t say anything at the time, as the preselection results were yet to be announced and thanks for your faith! if you want to help out with the campaign, we’d love your participation, Alex
