PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 

  • Qualified Social Worker
  • 30 years in the community welfare, refugees and local government sectors
  • Specialising in clinical work with young people, community development and community safety
  • Worked as a lecturer in the fields of International Studies and Social Work at RMIT University.
  • Awarded an Australian Postgraduate Award in 2008; conducted PhD research on the social dimensions of climate change.
