Andrew Calleja

Andrew Calleja   Convenor, Thomastown-Whittlesea Greens; State candidate for Thomastown 2010

Alex’s support and knowledge of internal process has been invaluable to our fledging Thomastown-Whittlesea branch and she is passionate about the issues that resonate in our outer northern suburbs: creating sustainable jobs, ensuring those seeking asylum in Australia receive just treatment and creating a fairer industrial relations for workers.

Alex has been a tireless campaigner on local issues, from speaking out against forced school mergers to the need for a 24 hour health clinics, to the plight of wildlife impacted by expanding peri-urban development and has been instrumental in exposing the threats posed by nuclear advocate and federal ALP member for Batman, Martin Ferguson. Alex will do justice to the position of lead Senate candidate for Victoria and give the party every chance of gaining a Senate seat in Victoria at the next Federal Election.
