Alex Bhathal

Social worker; refugee advocate; environmental activist, Alex is a former National Director of Repower Health and former National Director of the Australian Association of Social Workers. Alex spent more than 18 years in the Australian Greens before leaving the party in early 2019. In this time, she ran six times as the Greens candidate for the federal seat of Batman (now Cooper) and served as International Secretary of the Australian Greens and Co Convenor of the Victorian Greens. In 2012, she co-founded the Global Greens Women’s Network and was its inaugural Convenor.
